Buies Creek, N.C. – A 2,800 pound bronze sculpture of Campbell’s Fighting Camel mascot was erected in front of the John W. Pope, Jr. Convocation Center on Monday, May 2. Made possible by a gift from North Carolina entrepreneur Irwin Belk, the camel is a commissioned work by Atlanta, Ga. sculptor and painter Gregory Johnson.
