RALEIGH, N.C. – All 186 incoming Campbell Law first-year students performed community service at six locations across Raleigh on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Groups of students, faculty, and staff served at Hope Reins of Raleigh, Interfaith Food Shuttle, Nash Square, Prevent Child Abuse N.C., Umstead State Park, and With Love from Jesus. Participants performed a variety of tasks ranging from landscaping, painting, moving office furniture, hanging artwork, organizing informational brochures, sorting clothes, and restocking groceries.

“Community service has been, and will continue to remain, a priority at Campbell Law,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “We are fortunate to be located in the middle of such a wonderful city, and it’s our job as good community stewards to lend a hand as we are able.”
The new students comprise the second-largest incoming class in the history of the law school. The students — 167 traditional students and 19 studying as a part of the Campbell Flex program — represent 73 different undergraduate institutions and 43 majors.
The number of incoming students is a sharp incline from last year, which saw 121 new students on the first day of orientation.
