The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CPHS) Alumni Association board of directors awarded Leigh Liles Foushee, PharmD ’00, CPHS Director of Alumni Relations, with the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award during homecoming weekend at Campbell.
“Leigh is a cheerleader, a pharmacist, an advisor, a hostess, a career coordinator, a counselor, an event planner, and a friend to all CPHS Alumni,” said Virginia White, PharmD ’09, MBA ‘09 and president of the CPHS Alumni Association board of directors. “Since her introduction to the Alumni Board of Directors in 2010, Leigh has tirelessly championed for alumni, current students, and prospective students and always with ‘Orange Pride’.”
While coordinating and serving an organization like the CPHS Alumni Association, Leigh puts in countless hours in both the community and in the professional realm. She serves as a faculty advisor for the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists and the advisor for the CPHS Pharmacy Alumni Student Association. Leigh also serves as a Grand Council Deputy for the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc., Delta Lambda chapter.
In addition, she is a member of the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists and has worked on several projects with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
On the home front, she is the assistant coach for the North Garner Middle School volleyball team, teaches 6th and 7th grade Sunday School class at her church, and she and her husband enjoy supporting the activities of their two daughters.
Leigh represents Campbell knowing that her actions are not her own, but that they reflect on Campbell and the legacy of the pharmacy and health sciences programs.
