Campbell University’s Giving With Purpose campaign wrapped up with a 92 percent participation rate, the Office for Advancement announced this week. This marks the sixth year in a row that the University’s employee giving campaign reached at least 90 percent participation.

More than 850 employees participated during the month-long campaign this spring, supporting the mission of our university; to graduate students with excellent academic and professional skills who are prepared for a life of purpose and service

I’m very grateful for our employees’ support of this annual campaign” said Tammi Fries, director of annual giving.“Through their annual giving, our employees are creating opportunities and experiences that truly transform the lives of our students. They are setting a powerful example to our students and alumni, and collectively are making us a stronger university.”

According to a 2017 Voluntary Support of Education survey, master’s institutions typically hover around 25 percent employee giving. Fries called the streak of high employee support at Campbell “truly amazing.”

“Our extremely high participation rate each year says to me that our employees value the mission of Campbell,” Fries said. “To continue to reach above 90 percent participation annually is extraordinary and I know our Campbell community is grateful too.
