Buies Creek — Rosemarie Gore received a plaque for serving 30 years in the Department of Defense on March 28, 2008. She currently works at Campbell University as the ROTC Human Resource Technician. Gore has been in this position for nine years.”I love my job,” said Gore. “I love young people. In my position I feel like I am helping them obtain their goal.”Gore is also enrolled at Campbell University, attending classes at both the Pope campus and the Fort Liberty campus. She is studying Business Administration.”I have always wanted a degree, but with moving around so much, I never got one,” she said.Even though she is a civilian, the Department of Defense has assigned Gore jobs in Korea, Italy, Germany and various states. She has worked with the Navy, Veteran Administration and Army.She isn’t all work and no play. Gore is very active in her Fayetteville community. She is the Commissioner of the church co-ed softball league and is also a District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America.”I like to stay active,” she said.Gore doesn’t plan to retire yet and enjoys being involved in the Campbell ROTC program.”ROTC is a good program that produces great lieutenants and officers,” she said.She has three children and four grandchildren and spends a lot of time with them.
