Graphic design students earn gold, silver Graphis Awards

Students in Campbell University’s Graphic Design program received one gold and one silver Graphis Award from Graphis Inc., honoring top-tier creative work in design, advertising, photography, illustration, motion graphics and creative work.

Matthias Johnson earned a gold award for “A Graveyard Visit,” a photomontage depicting a 17th century plague doctor; and Susannah Young won silver for a personal branding of her initials.

Their works were chosen out of 1,176 student submissions from 15 countries around the world for the annual Graphic publication. According to Assistant Professor of Graphic Design Dejan Mraovic, Campbell’s program has earned a total of five gold awards and four silvers from Graphis in just the last three years, more than any other graphic design program in North Carolina.
