Hansen named recipient of NCAWA Sarah Parker Scholarship Award

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law student Zoe Hansen has been named a recipient of the 2014-15 Sarah Parker Scholarship Award by the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA). A Raleigh native, Hansen is a rising second-year student.

“I am excited and honored to be selected as a Sarah Parker Scholarship award recipient,” said Hansen. “There are many important legal issues that are being defined and debated today, and I look forward to being a part of the process.”

Hansen and six other scholarship recipients will be recognized at the NCAWA Spring Fling Conference, May 16-17 at Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.

“The entire Campbell Law community is proud of Zoe for receiving this award,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “Chief Justice Parker is an exceptional leader and role model, and I have no doubt that Zoe will do well in honoring her as a recipient of this award.”

The award is named in honor of North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Sarah Parker. Chief Justice Parker, who has served in her current role since Feb. 1, 2006, is also an active member on the Campbell Law Board of Visitors.

The NCAWA has nine chapters throughout the state, each hosting local meetings and networking events. Campbell Law Director of Student Life & Pro Bono Opportunities Beth Froehling serves on the NCAWA Board of Directors.
