Harnett County high school students participate in forensics exercise at Campbell

Photo Copy: A Halloween inspired crime scene makes gathering evidence and securing the scene that much spookier for Harnett Central High School students Trey Joseph, left, and Shawn Earl. The forensics activity was part of a High School Science Seminar program funded by Burroughs Wellcome Fund Student Science Enrichment Program and sponsored by Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Held Thursday, Oct. 28, on the Campbell campus, the activity was designed to teach students to recover a body, determine the race, gender, height  and approximate age of the victim and approximately how long the victim was deceased. The activity was supervised by Dr. John Bartlett, assistant professor of biology at Campbell.
