Healthcare Management professor elected Trinity Health board chairman

Dr. LeJon Poole, Director of the Healthcare Management Program at the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, was elected to the board for Trinity Health’s Continuing Care as chairman beginning January 2021.

Trinity Health is an American not-for-profit Catholic health system operating 93 hospitals in 22 states, including 120 continuing care locations encompassing home care, hospice, PACE and senior living facilities. Based in Livonia, Michigan, Trinity Health employs more than 120,000 people including 5,300 physicians. 

In commenting on his new role with Trinity Health, LeJon said “”My appointment as Board Chairman of Continuing Care at Trinity Health in Livonia, MI enables me to positively impact the health and well-being of those we serve at the local, state, and national level.  I take particular pride in the fact that our Board has aggressively championed masking, testing, and vaccinations during the COVID 19 pandemic and as of February 2021, Trinity Health has been responsible for administering approximately 1% of all vaccinations in the United States.”

In additional to his new role with Trinity Health, Dr. Poole also continues to serve as the Director of the Healthcare Management program as well as an Associate Professor of Management, teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level for the Business School.
