RALEIGH, N.C. – Melodye Hendrix has been named Senior Director of Development for the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. She will oversee development, alumni relations and communications to include all aspects of fundraising, annual fund and major gifts for the law school.
Hendrix comes to Campbell Law from the Duke University School of Medicine where she was Director of Development. At Duke, she oversaw the Medical Annual Fund, the Davison Club, and traditional giving, and played a key role in the School of Medicine Learning Center Capital Campaign.
Prior to her time at Duke, Ms. Hendrix was at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, where she was director of alumni relations in the College of Business Administration. She also served as director of development for the college and was an adjunct faculty member in the Nicholson School of Communication where she taught public speaking. Prior to her work at UCF, she was a corporate spokesperson for Progress Energy, worked in health care marketing and communications, and was a television news reporter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and a master’s in interpersonal communication from UCF.
