RALEIGH, N.C. – The Campbell Law School Federalist Society will host best-selling author, legal expert, and political commentator J. Christian Adams for an examination of the recent changes in North Carolina election law, including voter ID requirements. Adams will appear at the law school at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 15 in room 105.
Area residents are invited to join the Campbell Law community in attending the event and are asked to register via Event Brite. Paid parking is available at the City of Raleigh Municipal Parking Deck across from the law school on West Morgan Street. The Federalist Society will provide lunch from Amedeo’s.
National election laws are under the microscope by concerned citizens and the press corps as the 2016 elections loom closer. In North Carolina alone court rulings are anticipated on redistricting and constitutional challenges to election law changes.
A former attorney in the Voting Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, Adams is the founder of the Election Law Center. He is also a contributing columnist covering elections and the DOJ, and has discussed election law issues on Fox News, CNN, NBC, and CBS.
