Buies Creek, N.C.—The Wind Ensemble and the Wind Symphony present “A Night of Jazz” at Campbell University’s 10th annual Pops Concert on Thursday, April 7, at 8 p.m. in Scott Concert Hall. The ensembles will perform a variety of Jazz stylings such as 1920s jazz, Dixieland, Latin and Swing. The Wind Ensemble will accompany four vocalists on the George Gershwin classics, “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “They Can’t Take That Away From Me.” The Wind Symphony will bring its own interpretation to several Big Band classics that are part of the standard Jazz repertoire.
