RALEIGH, N.C. – Todd Jones and Kimberly Miller have been elected to chair the newly-launched Campbell Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. The pair was elected by the alumni association board on Thursday, Feb. 12. Jones will serve as chair of the alumni association board, while Miller will act as vice chair. Both will serve three-year terms.
“Todd Jones and Kimberly Miller are both excellent representatives of Campbell Law School,” said Campbell Law Assistant Dean of External Relations Megan West. “Both are well respected in the profession and their communities. We have no doubt they will help us form a successful, comprehensive alumni association from the ground up.”
A 1998 Campbell Law graduate, Todd Jones is a founding partner with Raleigh-based Anderson Jones. Jones holds extensive experience in construction law and litigation, collections, OSHA defense, contracts, local government and municipal law, administrative law and litigation, real estate, employment law, immigration law, and traffic violations. He has handled cases ranging from workers’ compensation to personal injury to million-dollar contract disputes.
Extremely active in the profession, Jones regularly volunteers with the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Young Lawyers Division and the NCBA Construction Law Section. In 2007, he received the Blanchard Outstanding Young Lawyers Award for his work on law-related education for North Carolina schoolchildren ranging from elementary school to high school.
Miller, a founding partner at Owens & Miller PLLC in Raleigh, graduated from Campbell Law in 2007. Her practice focuses on the litigation of civil and injury claims by plaintiffs. She has handled hundreds of cases with most of the major insurance carries, and has tried jury trials around the Triangle including Wake, Durham, Harnett, Johnston and Cumberland Counties. Miller has presented at numerous speaking engagements, leading conversations on insurance law, handling auto injury claims, and litigating personal injury claims.
Miller volunteers as a coach for the Enloe High School Mock Trial Team. She received a Women of Justice Award from North Carolina Lawyers Weekly in 2012 and was named to the Rising Stars List in Super Lawyers magazine in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
