BUIES CREEK –The Kappa Alpha Order (KA) national fraternity has announced plans to recruit an interest group at Campbell University beginning in the fall semester of 2014.

Members of the KA  national administrative staff based out of Lexington, Va., along with local Buies Creek area alumni from various other KA chapters, will be recruiting on campus beginning in September.

“We’re very pleased to begin a relationship between Kappa Alpha Order and Campbell University and to have the opportunity to positively affect the lives of young men on campus,” said Nick Palmer, director of chapter development for KAr. “Our expansion process, through which men join and build their chapter, is designed to bring the most positive aspects of fraternity life to the forefront of the chapter experience. KA’s expansion at Campbell will be the opportunity of a lifetime for our new members.”

For those men interested in joining, or for anyone who would like to recommend a potential member to join, you may contact Dustin G. Brann, associate director for chapter development, at [email protected]/* */.

Kappa Alpha Order was established on December 21, 1865, at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., and is fast approaching its 150th anniversary celebration. Known as “KA” or “the Order,” the organization has 127 active chapters nationwide and has initiated over 160,000 men. KA acts as the moral compass for the modern gentleman for its members, focusing on the core values of reverence, gentility, service, leadership, knowledge, perseverance and excellence.

It will be the fifth social Greek organization at Campbell: Sigma Alpha Omega Sorority and Kappa Sigma Fraternity began last fall, and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority this semester.
