Karen Pore joins Campbell University as registrar

Campbell University announces the appointment of Karen S. Pore to the position of university registrar. Pore’s first day was Jan. 30, 2017.

“I am delighted to welcome Karen Pore as the latest addition to the staff of the Provost’s Office,” said Campbell Provost Mark L. Hammond.

“Karen brings a deep knowledge and understanding of complex institutions like Campbell, and she is sure to be an invaluable colleague in the years ahead as we adapt to the ever-changing landscape of academic record keeping.”

Pore joins Campbell from Elon University where she gained over 20 years of experience working with its Registrar’s Office. Most recently, she served as Elon’s associate bursar for technology.

She takes the place of long-time Campbell registrar David McGirt, who retired after serving for 46 years in December 2016.

Pore holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Business Administration from Elon University.
