Laura Burdette joins Campbell’s Computing Services Department

Laura M. Burdette, of Spring Lake, N.C., has joined the staff of the Campbell University Computing Services Department as a technology procurement and disaster recovery agent. Prior to coming to Campbell, Burdett served as a computer lab assistant for Spring Lake Middle School, were she assisted in preparing students for the North Carolina Computer Skills test, loaded programs and updated and maintained the school’s computer system. From 2000-2004, she served as procurement and purchasing agent for NetCom Business Solutions in Fayetteville. Burdette graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 1996 and completed 36 hours in laser and photonics technology at Central Carolina Community College, where she maintained a 3.91 grade point average. She was president of Heritage Village Residents Association from 1998-2001, and served as a board member for the advisory council of her local school district. Burdette is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where she served as a fuel systems mechanic from 1985-1989.
