Law professor, alums named Triangle Women Extraordinaire honorees

RALEIGH – Campbell Law professor Lisa Lukasik and alums Beth Jones and Judge Kristin Ruth were among the more than 50 business and civic leaders honored at the 2011 Triangle Women Extraordinaire awards luncheon on Dec. 6.

Each year, Business Leader honors the top women leaders of the South through its Women Extraordinaire awards. Award winners must be an influential leader within her company or business, with an extraordinary impact on its economic success and forward-thinking strategies.

Lukasik has served as an assistant professor of law at Campbell for more than two years and is a seasoned litigator with a decade of experience representing local boards of education. Beth Jones is a 1988 graduate of Campbell Law School and practices employment and education law with Womble Carlyle in Raleigh. Judge Ruth is a 1990 graduate of Campbell Law School and serves as state district court judge for Wake County.

“It was an honor for Campbell Law to be represented by these three deserving individuals,” said Campbell Law School Dean Melissa Essary. “They are exemplary ladies, and their wins here reflect favorably on their contributions to our community.”
