Law registrar named to AACRAO committee

Law - ShipmanRALEIGH – Campbell Law School Registrar Dr. Connie Shipman has been elected to serve on a committee within the American Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers (AACRAO). Shipman will stand as vice chair elect on the 2018-19 nominations and elections committee.

“This election is a great honor and it is my privilege to serve in this capacity,” said Shipman. “I am committed to AACRAO and its goal to develop members professionally while staying abreast of the various political and social environments that surround and define the field of higher education.”

Shipman joined Campbell Law School as registrar in June 2014. As registrar she oversees, manages, and coordinates all student records, registration, grade reporting, and transcripts. Shipman holds a B.S. and M.P.A. from East Carolina University. She completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in June 2013.

AACRAO is a non-profit professional association of more than 11,000 higher education professionals who represent approximately 2,600 institutions in more than 40 countries. The organization aims to provide professional development, guidelines, and voluntary standards to be used by higher education officials regarding the best practices in records management, admissions, enrollment management, administrative information technology, and student services. AACRAO represents institutions in every part of the higher education community, from large public institutions to small, private liberal arts colleges.
