RALEIGH – Second-year Campbell Law School student Yolanda Davis was recently named a recipient of Nexsen Pruet’s Diversity Scholarship. A native of Whiteville, N.C., Davis received a scholarship in the amount of $3,000 from the firm.
“I am honored to be the recipient of Nexsen Pruet’s Diversity Scholarship,” said Davis. “My educational pursuits would not be possible without generous support from scholarship sponsors like the firm.”
Scholars receive money for tuition through Nexsen Pruet’s Diversity Initiative, which has awarded 39 scholarships exceeding $117,000 since the program began in 2008. Two previous scholarship recipients have been hired by the firm.
The Nexsen Pruet Diversity Scholarship Program works to increase diversity within the legal profession, enhance educational opportunities for minority law students and create increased awareness of opportunities for private practice in North and South Carolina.
