Military Law Student Association Prepares Nearly 1,000 Christmas Cards for Soldiers

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School’s Military Law Student Association (MiLSA) recently held its annual Christmas Cards for Soldiers event, resulting in an all-time high 992 Christmas cards. The cards will be sent to soldiers in the Third Infantry Division in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

“This was an outstanding event and we are ecstatic at the overwhelming help and support that we received from our Campbell Law family this year,” said MiLSA President Stephen Dimpsey. “Several of our faculty and students have served in the military, and many of them know firsthand what it is like to be deployed during the holidays. Through this event, we tried to make this holiday season a little less lonely for as many soldiers as possible. If only for the couple of moments it takes to read a card, we wanted to let them know that we care and appreciate the sacrifices they are making on a daily basis.“

MiLSA aims is to provide a support network for students who are veterans, military family members, ed-delays, and/or those interested in gaining information about military service and military law. Through educational tools, the association also strives to educate students on issues impacting military families, as North Carolina is ranked fourth in terms of military personnel assigned to the state.
