RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School’s Old Kivett Advocacy Council hosted the 2013 Intramural Negotiation Competition, March 20-21, at the law school. Thirty-two Campbell Law students comprised 16 teams, with two separate teams ultimately winning the competition.
David Barnes and Robert Smith formed one of the winning duos, while Tyler Roberts and Cabell Sinclair were declared winners as well. All four students are in their first year at Campbell Law.
First-year students Lacy Mau-McDowell and Brianna Nolan took part in the final round, as did second-year students Joel Heimbach and Adam Everett.
Each student round featured a panel of judges ranging from recent Campbell Law graduates to well-established members of the North Carolina Bar. The final four teams competed in front of a three-judge panel during the final round.
Both winning teams will represent Campbell Law School at an upcoming regional competition.
The Old Kivett Advocacy Council is comprised of 12 second- and third-year students. Each fall, the Council hosts the Intramural Moot Court Competition and the Intramural Client Counseling Competition. In the spring, the organization hosts the Intramural Negotiation Competition.
