“PAINDEMIC” author to deliver talk, sign books Feb. 2

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Dr. Melissa Cady, DO, will deliver a talk about her book “PAINDEMIC: A Practical Look at Chronic Pain, the Medical System, and the antiPAIN Lifestyle,” at the Campbell University Bookstore Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m.

Following her presentation, she will take questions from the audience and hold a book signing. Refreshments will be provided by the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine’s Neurology Club.

Cady is an osteopathic physician certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, mentors college students, writes health-related articles and blogs, and is a speaker for local groups and conferences.

Drawing from her own experiences of managing chronic pain, she has been a passionate patient advocate for optimizing health through alternative means while minimizing excessive and unnecessary medical interventions.
