Past SBA Presidents Gather for Inaugural Dinner

RALEIGH, N.C. – More than half of the past presidents of the Campbell Law School Student Bar Association (SBA) gathered for the inaugural SBA Past Presidents’ Dinner on Friday, Nov. 2. Five former or current Campbell Law deans also attended the event.

Current SBA President Anna Brinkley came up with the concept for the evening and orchestrated the implementation of the event. Her goal in constructing the gathering was to create an annual platform that draws upon the experience of current and former SBA leaders, while creating opportunities for fellowship and networking.

“The purpose of this event was to bring the leadership of the law school – past and present – together to celebrate how far we have come and the bright future of our school,“ said Brinkley. “I think the overwhelming support of the former SBA Presidents in their attendance of this event is indicative of how much our alumni care.“

The evening also served as the launching pad for the announcement of the SBA Scholarship Fund, which will provide financial assistance to Campbell Law students in leadership positions within the SBA. Brinkley recognized Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP for their generous initial contribution to start the scholarship fund.
