Peaden, Todd compete in moot court competition

RALEIGH, N.C. – Third-year Campbell Law student advocates Casey Peaden and James Todd recently represented the law school’s advocacy program at the 2017 William E. McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court Competition, Feb. 18-20, in Minneapolis, Minn. Their participation was made possible by the generous support of Riddle & Brantley, LLP.

Peaden and Todd defeated three opponents by wide margins on oral arguments, going 2-1 after three rounds. They ultimately fell on a minor point margin difference in the tie breaker for advancing to the final eight.

Peaden was named best advocate on seven of nine ballots, while Todd was named best advocate on the other two.
