Buies Creek, N.C.-Jodi S. Peeler, Assistant Dean of External Relations for the Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, has recently received the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation. Peeler joins over 5,400 professionals worldwide who have met a series of standards set by the CFRE organization which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement and a commitment to service to nonprofit organizations.
“The CFRE process was developed as a way to identify for the public and employers those individuals who possess the knowledge, skills and commitment to perform fundraising duties in an effective, conscientious, ethical and professional manner,” said Susan Davies Goepp, CFRE Chair.
CFRE recipients are awarded certification for a three-year period and must continue to demonstrate on-going fundraising employment and results and continue their professional education in order to maintain their certification status.
As Assistant Dean of External Relations for the College of Pharmacy, Peeler is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and administration of resources for directing all activities associated with comprehensive alumni relations advancement and the professional relations program. She currently serves as the Awards Chair of District III’s Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Board of Directors and conference committee and has previously served as president of the N.C. State Communication Alumni Board of Advisors. Peeler has also served on the Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS) Board of Directors. In 2007, she was awarded honorary lifetime membership in N.C. DECA, an association of marketing students, where she volunteers her time to support high school students interested in marketing-related careers. Peeler has received two Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for excellence in communication from RPRS and was presented an Outstanding Service Award in 2006 by the N.C. State University Communication Alumni Circle.
Peeler holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from N.C. State University and a Master of Business Administration from Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. She became a member of the Campbell University staff in 2002.
