Pharmacy students deliver over 500 pounds of food to Beacon Mission

Photo Copy: A total of 520 pounds of canned food were donated to the Beacon Rescue Mission in Dunn from the Campbell University School of Pharmacy. The food items were collected in memory of second-year pharmacy student Brie Reynolds, who was tragically killed before the academic year. The food donations are a result of four drives held during the year and include items from drives led by Reynolds’ family in Virginia. The food will be distributed to food pantries throughout the region. Amos Love, director of the Men’s Division at Beacon, said the food would be put to immediate use for people in need, including those who were waiting at the kitchen. Pictured from left are Reynolds’ roommates Bethany Davidson and Katie Waters, her uncle Ben Tickle and her future stepfather Robert Ball. The next Brie Reynolds food drive will begin Feb. 14.
