BUIES CREEK — The 2013 Doctor of Pharmacy class of Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences upheld the tradition of excellence by posting a perfect score on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX).
Campbell’s 96 candidates exceeded the state of North Carolina’s passage rate of 97 percent and the national passage rate of 96 percent on this year’s NAPLEX. On the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE), Campbell boasted a 99 percent passage rate, which exceeded the state average of 95 percent and the national average of 94 percent.
“The perfect board passage rate of the class of 2013 solidifies Campbell’s reputation in the health care education field,” said Ronald Maddox, dean of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and vice president for health programs. “The exemplary performance of Campbell’s pharmacy students is an indication of the superb quality of our students, faculty, staff and preceptors.”
The class of 2013 is the 24th pharmacy class to graduate from Campbell and the 10th class to post a 100 percent on national boards throughout the program’s history.
