RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Assistant Professor of Law Bobbi Jo Boyd participated at the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys (NCSHCA) annual conference on Oct. 18. Boyd provided an interactive, hour-long continuing legal education (CLE) session, “Ethics for Health Care Providers and Counsel,” for event attendees.
“The North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys is an exceptional group,” said Boyd. “Attorneys who practice health care law encounter complex ethical issues, including questions of legal ethics and bioethics. I appreciated the opportunity to speak with the group about the authorized practice of law.”
In addition to Boyd’s participation, Campbell Law served as a platinum sponsor for the event’s keynote address, the Edward Hollowell Lecture Series. North Carolina Congressman David Price delivered the address, providing remarks on health care reform.
A non-profit corporation, the NCSHCA seeks to provide professional education and additional services to North Carolina attorneys with an interest in health care law. Campbell Law Assistant Professor of Law Amy Flanary-Smith was elected to a three-year term on the organization’s board of directors in September 2012, and is co-chair of a new sub-committee that provides electronic updaters on recent health law decisions.
