Professor Lee to speak at Conference on Religious Legal Theory

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Associate Professor of Law Kevin Lee will speak at the annual Conference on Religious Legal Theory (RLT), April 10-12, at Touro Law School in Central Islip, N.Y.

Lee will participate in a panel discussion on the philosophical and political perspectives on religious legal theory. Additional panel participants include moderator Marc DeGirolami (St. John’s University Associate Professor of Law / Center for Law & Religion Associate Director), Fuat Gursozlu (Loyola University Assistant Professor of Philosophy), and Cathleen Kaveny (University of Notre Dame John P. Murphy Foundation Professor of Law & Professor of Theology).

“I am honored to take part in such meaningful and beneficial conversations,” said Lee. “By assembling experts from a variety of important fields, we are able to find ways in which our respective interests intersect and help us better understand and apply the practice of law and legal theory.”

The RLT conference brings together national scholars in an effort to explore ways in which religious thought might help illuminate law and legal theory. The conference addresses a vast assortment of conceptual, philosophical, and substantive areas of law.
