Professor McQuade to deliver commencement address at Korean Law School

POHANG, SOUTH KOREA – Campbell Law School Professor Stanley J. McQuade will deliver the 2008 commencement address at Handong International Law School in Pohang, South Korea on Dec. 13, 2008. Handong International Law School’s class of 2008 includes 46 students from various countries in Asia, as well as other continents. Unique to Southeast Asia, Handong Law School’s classes are taught in English. Similarly, the school prepares its students to take bar exams in the United States. Since it was founded, Handong Law graduates have achieved an impressive 100 percent passage rate on various U.S. state bar exams.

In 2005, Dr. McQuade lectured at Handong Law and conducted special seminars in Seoul on products liability. Numerous other Campbell Law School faculty members have also been visiting professors at Handong. Dr. McQuade has been a member of the Campbell Law faculty since 1979. “I look forward to renewing old friendships while in Korea,” McQuade said. “It is an honor to have been asked to deliver the commencement address to the fine students at Handong International Law School.”
