RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Professor of Law Melissa Essary has been named to the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors, as announced by Chamber President & CEO Harvey Schmitt. Essary will work alongside her peers on the Chamber Board to provide leadership and advice to the Chamber’s Board of Directors, enhance Chamber partnerships, and strengthen outreach to the business community.
The Greater Raleigh Chamber Board of Advisors is comprised of experienced professionals that include corporate CEOs, business executives, and community leaders both within Wake County and the Research Triangle. More than 250 companies are represented on the Chamber’s Board of Advisors.
“We’re pleased to have Melissa as a member of the Chamber’s Board of Advisors,” said Schmitt. “This is one of the most prestigious positions to hold in the business community. We look forward to the knowledge and experience she will contribute.”
The role marks a return to the Chamber for Essary, who previously served on its Board of Directors from 2008-11.
“The work of the Raleigh Chamber is extremely important to the economic growth of our community, of which Campbell Law is an integral part,” said Essary. “I’m happy to join the chamber in this new leadership role.”
