Raymond Bryan elected vice chair of Campbell Board of Trustees

Buies Creek-Raymond Bryan, Jr., of Goldsboro, N.C., has been elected vice chairman of Campbell University’s Board of Trustees. The chairman of the board of directors for the T.A. Loving construction company in Goldsboro, Bryan is currently serving his 8th term as a Campbell trustee.

“I am really honored to be elected to this position,” said Bryan. “I enjoy being connected with Campbell University because it is an outstanding institution. I look forward to carrying out my responsibilities as vice chairman.”

Bryan, who is serving his second term as vice chairman, has held many other positions at Campbell, including trustee board chairman, chairman of the Executive Committee and member of the Business Affairs and Advancement committees.

A supportive member of the first Baptist Church of Goldsboro, Bryan has served on the Finance, Worship and Building committees. He has also been active in civic affairs, assuming the responsibilities of a director and member of the Advisory Board for the Norfolk-Southern Corporation in Norfolk, Va., and as a past president of the Wayne County Boys’ Club. Bryan’s performance in that role earned him the Boys Club Medallion for Outstanding Service. In addition, he has served as a member of the Dean’s Cabinet for North Carolina State University’s Engineering School and is a past member of the Independent College Fund of North Carolina.

The T.A. Loving Company has completed many construction and renovation projects at Campbell, including the John W. Pope, Jr. Convocation Center; the new pharmacy teaching facility, Maddox Hall, and the Bob Barker Residence Hall. Completion of the university’s Anna Gardner Butler Chapel is only a few months away.
