RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard announced today that Safran Law Offices has agreed to financially support a competitive moot court team. The firm’s support will empower a Campbell Law team to compete at the Sutherland Cup Moot Court Competition, March 21-22, in Washington, D.C.
“We are thankful for the support of Perry Safran and his firm,” said Leonard. “As a successful alum, Perry knows firsthand the importance of our advocacy program and a complete legal education, both in and outside of the class, to our students.”
Safran Law Offices has served the construction industry from its Raleigh headquarters for more than 30 years. A 1981 Campbell Law graduate, Safran is Vice-Chair of the North Carolina Turnpike Authority and is a long-standing member of the Centennial Authority. He has also served on Raleigh’s City Council and taught as an adjunct at Campbell Law.
“It gives me great joy to provide this opportunity to students at my alma mater,” said Safran. “It is my hope that the experience of attending and competing at the Sutherland Cup will prove to be a lasting supplement to the education provided day-in and day-out at Campbell Law.”
The Sutherland Cup Moot Court Competition, hosted by the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America, gives students the opportunity to argue before private and government practitioners, active judges and American Bar Association regulators.
