Secretary of State Marshall to be Campbell commencement speaker

Buies Creek, N.C.–North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall will deliver the commencement address at Campbell University’s spring graduation exercises on Monday, May 12, at 9 a.m. in front of the D. Rich building on the Academic Circle.Marshall was elected Secretary of State in 1997 and has received numerous awards and honors since taking office, including honorary doctorates from Meredith and Lees-McRae colleges, the P.K. Agarwal Leadership award, the National Notary Association Achievement award, the Women in Business Lifetime Achievement award and the Distinguished Attorney award from the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys.A 1981 graduate of Campbell’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Marshall was a partner in the law firm of Marshall & Marshall in Lillington.
