RALEIGH — Two teams of Campbell Law School advocates competed at the National Trial Competition (NTC) National Tournament from March 30 through April 2, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.
Third-year law students Christian Allred, Megan Von Canon and Christopher Stock along with second-year students Sydney Kraft, William Sparks and Brandon Minella proudly represented the law school. Each team was invited to compete in the national competition after sweeping the Regional National Trial Competition in February hosted by Campbell Law School in Raleigh.
The San Antonio competition was co-hosted by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
The team of Allred, Von Canon and Stock was sponsored by the Zaytoun Law Firm. They were proudly coached by Chamberlain Collier ’20. The team of Kraft, Sparks and Minella was sponsored by Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton LLP. They were proudly coached by Maria Hawkins ’12.
Both teams would like to thank the student volunteers who helped prepare them for competition over the past month – many of whom gave up significant time to assist the students in their witness preparations.
Additionally, both teams are grateful to the firms who sponsored and supported their journey to Nationals, the coaches said, adding that they are also enormously grateful to Dean J. Rich Leonard and the support of the faculty/staff who aid in making opportunities like these possible.
