Smith elected to Campbell University Board of Trustees

Henry L. Smith, of Farmville, N.C., has been elected to the Campbell University Board of Trustees. Smith is the owner and president of Carolina Medical Products and a former instructor of pharmacy at the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy.

A Campbell alumnus, Smith graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He is past president of the Durham-Orange Pharmaceutical Association and a member of the Founders Committee for the Campbell University School of Pharmacy.

Active in his community, Smith has served as chairman of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce, member of the Farmville Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors, member of the Farmville Kiwanis Club and the Farmville Economic Council, among others.

He and his wife, the former Tracey Fodor, are members of the First Christian Church of Farmville where Smith has served as a deacon, member of the Finance Committee and member of the board of trustees. Smith, who is past president of the Campbell University National Alumni Association, was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Campbell in 1990.
