BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Spud Marshall, the student coordinator of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation, will be at Campbell University on Wednesday, Jan. 27, to present on “Exploring Social Entrepreneurship with the Sullivan Foundation.” Marshall will speak at two events that are open to all Campbell faculty, staff, and students interested in social entrepreneurship.
The first session, geared towards faculty and staff, will be held from 10 to 10:50 a.m. at Campbell Business School in Room 210 or the Boardroom.
The second session, geared toward students, staff, and faculty, will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in Wiggins Memorial Library’s Periodicals Room on the first floor.
Marshall will also speak to students in a Philosophy of Business course and to student members of the Social Entrepreneurship Club during his day-long visit. All members of the Campbell community are encouraged to attend this speaker event which will be held in Lynch Auditorium at 8 a.m. during Dr. Boris Abbey’s Philosophy of Business class.
In addition to his work with the Sullivan Foundation, Marshall is the CEO and chief catalyst for co.space, a global network of homes for world-changers. Ashoka U has named co.space one of the top disruptive innovations to emerge in higher education. He also founded the New Leaf Initiative, a community innovation hub in State College, Penn., that bridges university, local government, and community members.
The Sullivan Foundation helps teach young men and women social entrepreneurial skills and supports their social entrepreneurship endeavors.
