BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The listening audience of the popular “JJ Show” on KCBQ “The Answer” in San Diego, California recently learned what “Campbell Pride” is all about as one of our own, Campbell Business graduate Ben Hopf, was interviewed by host Ron Greenwald about his career, his alma mater, and in particular about the Trust and Wealth Management Degree Program offered by the university.
Hopf told the San Diego listening audience about the uniqueness of the trust degree and about his pride in being a Campbell Business graduate and what that means. He closed his interview with the following:
“Campbell’s Trust program prepared me for and launched me into a career far more successful and personally rewarding than I could have ever imagined. I would absolutely encourage our listeners in San Diego with a passion for helping others, a desire for a professional career set, and a general intrigue for understanding the flow of wealth and business to consider Campbell University’s Trust & Wealth Management program. There is a huge demand for students from the western part of our country who are excited by the opportunity to move away from home for a few years during school to receive a world-class education, and then take jobs within the financial institutions closer to home who need their knowledge and productivity.”
Hopf graduated just four years ago from the 3/2 BBA/MBA Program and is already a Vice President and Private Client Associate with US Trust / Bank of America. Jimmy Witherspoon, the Director of the Trust Program, said the following about Hopf and his fellow trust alumni.
“Ben went out of his way to sell Campbell’s trust program in San Diego by interviewing on the radio but he also serves as a member of the Trust Education Foundation Board of Directors and he will even be visiting high schools career day programs in San Diego this year to sell Campbell’s program. The example Ben and others have set is that “giving back” to Campbell can be financial, but it can also be giving of your time, your heart and your soul to help the students of today. Young alumni can be critically important “friends of the University” long before they may be able to give back financially. Just “spreading the word” is a great way to show that you are indeed Campbell Proud!”
