Student Life names Beam Dean for Spiritual Life, Latino AVP for Student Success

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Campbell University’s Student Life office has announced two promotions and job change titles: Rev. Faithe Beam, the campus minister, is now also the dean for spiritual life, while Dr. Jennifer Latino is now the assistant vice president for student success.

“These are two outstanding members of the Student Life staff who have worked very hard at Campbell and continue to contribute in great ways to the overall campus life experience and success of our student body,” said Dr. Dennis Bazemore, vice president for student life.

She earned a bachelor’s from Appalachian State University and a Master of Divinity from Campbell Divinity School in 2003. While a Campbell Divinity student, she also served as director of the school’s student services.

Latino joined Campbell in December 2010 as director of First-Year Experience. She provides leadership for a variety of student success initiatives, including academic support services and a variety of programs and initiatives designed to support students through the transition to college.

Previously, she was associate director of the University 101 Programs at the University of South Carolina.
