Taylor receives Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award

Buies Creek, N.C.–Thomas F. Taylor, assistant professor of Trust, received the 2008 Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award from the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business.A native of Jackson, Tenn., Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lambuth University, a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School and a Master of Laws in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University.Taylor brings 20 yeas of experience as a senior trust officer to the classroom.”He comes equipped with a wealth of practical experience in the field of Trust and Wealth Management,” said Dr. Ben Hawkins, dean of the School of Business. “He gives students excellent classroom preparation in the areas of investment analysis, real estate management, employee benefits, trust and estate administration, financial planning and legal and regulatory issues.”Taylor was also in private legal practice for a period of five years. His research interests include consumer protection and ethical behavior in the marketplace, and he has been published in the “Fordham International Law Journal.”Photo Copy: Thomas F.
