Trust Program hosts 31st Annual Trust Advisors Forum in Pinehurst

PINEHURST — The Trust Education Foundation, in conjunction with Campbell University, recently hosted the 31st annual Trust Advisors Forum in Pinehurst. The Forum is both the premier and the largest trust conference in the nation.

This year, 265 senior trust managers representing 100 institutions and 30 states ventured to the Pinehurst Resort for this cutting-edge continuing education program. In addition, 40 graduating trust seniors from Campbell joined the Forum attendees for a day.

More than 80 alumni and Trust Education Foundation board members attended a breakfast hosted by President J. Bradley where he highlighted what is happening at the University and the tremendous contribution Trust continues to make to the growth of Campbell.

One of the highlights of the day was the announcement of the funding of the Becky T. Kelly and Family Trust Scholarship.

Becky served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Trust Education Foundation for over 25 years before accepting her most recent role serving as the Foundation’s Executive director.  Becky’s loyalty and dedication over the years is just a glimpse at the “family” that is Campbell Trust.  The “Trust Mafia,” as the alumni and tireless volunteers refer to themselves, demonstrate every day their commitment to Campbell and to Trust, but most importantly, to our students.

The culmination of the celebration was the Foundation’s announcement of the funding of the Kevin O’Mara and Family Trust Scholarship.  As Jimmy Witherspoon, longtime program director said, “There is no finer person or friend of our students than Dean O’Mara.  Campbell is blessed to have Kevin leading the School of Business towards even greater heights.”

It is thanks to the efforts of the Foundation, and Campbell’s loyal alumni and friends, that 90 current trust majors are receiving trust scholarship aid, primarily from the profits generated by the Forum and Southeastern Trust School (now Trust Advisors Institute) over the years.

Campbell Trust enjoys a 95 percent job placement rate and has the largest financial institutions in the nation competing for our students — Apply today.
