WCBA Rule of Law Program to be Held at Campbell Law

RALEIGH, N.C. –Campbell Law School will host the Wake County Bar Association’s (WCBA) Rule of Law Program on Thursday, March 7. Approximately 100 high school students, primarily from Wake County public schools, will participate.

The program challenges high school students to explore how the Rule of Law affects and enriches their lives, as well as the lives of everyone in their community. The program includes a keynote presentation, panel discussions with community leaders, and small group discussions over lunch with legal professionals.

Throughout the day, students will explore:

* How the Rule of Law plays a role in every phase of their lives

* The importance of a democratic society built on laws

* How every generation of American citizens has the power and duty to cherish, respect, and reinvigorate our democratic legal traditions

“We are happy to partner with the WCBA in hosting this program,” said Campbell Law Director of Student Life & Pro Bono Opportunities Mary Charles Branch. “Discussions on civics and the Rule of Law are important educational experiences for students, and they go hand-in-hand with the educational and service opportunities that we offer our students at Campbell Law.”
