West graduates from Leadership Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Assistant Dean of External Relations Megan West graduated from Leadership Raleigh on Thursday, June 4. The exclusive nine-month program, organized by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, prepares the leaders of tomorrow by establishing an in-depth view of community issues, developing leadership skills, and exposing participants to community involvement opportunities.

“My experience in Leadership Raleigh has been extremely rewarding,” said West. “I’ve enjoyed becoming more informed about the greater Raleigh community and learning about the challenges our city faces as we continue to grow and prosper. I look forward to working alongside my peers in Leadership Raleigh for solutions to the issues before us.”

Leadership Raleigh participants meet and discuss issues with key community leaders. Participants study the qualities that make an effective leader, analyze individual leadership roles, and develop personal leadership styles and skills. They are then challenged to apply their talents by joining professional associations, civic clubs, public boards and commissions.

A 2014 Triangle Business Journal Women in Business award winner, West oversees Campbell Law’s alumni relations, career services, communications and marketing, and development departments while managing the Campbell Law Connections mentorship program. An active member of several local professional and civic organizations, West is a 2010 Campbell Law graduate.
