Wharton elected to Campbell University Board

Buies Creek, N.C.-David W. Wharton of Jonesborough, Tenn. has been elected to Campbell University’s Presidential Board of Advisors. A native of Winston Salem, N.C., Wharton serves as Area President of Regions Bank for northeast Tennessee.

Wharton, who received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Trust Management with a minor in Financial Planning from Campbell in 1989, is currently serving on the Trust Education Foundation Board of Directors for Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. He is a board member and executive committee member of Regional Alliance of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia and also serves on the board of directors and the Executive Committee (treasurer) of the Knoxville Museum of Art.

He is married to the former Krista Matthews of Winston-Salem. They are the parents of two sons, Harrison, 13 and Colin, 11.
