Wilmington resident elected to Campbell’s Presidential Board of Advisors

Buies Creek, N.C.–David Russ, of Wilmington, N.C., has been elected to Campbell University’s Presidential Board of Advisors. Russ is the owner and operate or Russ Vending and Coffee Company of Wilmington.

A Campbell graduate, Russ received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1969. He is the immediate past president of Campbell’s National Alumni Association and has worked to ensure the success of several university expansion projects such as the John W. Pope Convocation Center and the Barker-Lane Football Stadium. He continues to serve Campbell in numerous ways, including promoting more extensive alumni involvement in campus life as a member of the Alumni Board of Directors.

As a servant of the community, Russ has been active on the East Carolina Bank Board of Advisors, the North Carolina Azalea Festival Committee (past chairman) the Mercy House Homeless Shelter Committee and the Wilmington Rotary Club.

In addition to his civic involvement, he is an active member of Grace Methodist in Wilmington, where he serves as chairman of the Finance Committee. Mr. Russ is married to the former Linda Pearce of Charlotte, N.C. They are the parents of two sons, Michael P. Russ, a 2003 graduate of Campbell University’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, and D. Scott Russ, a 2006 graduate of Campbell’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.
