Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice to sponsor Campbell Law moot court team

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard announced today that Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice has agreed to financially sponsor a moot court team. Through the firm’s support, a group of Campbell Law students will be able to participate in the Jerome Price Evidence Moot Court Competition, March 26-30, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

“This generous gift is going to make a tremendous difference for a handful of Campbell Law students as they turn their knowledge into practice outside of the classroom,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “We are thankful to Womble Carlyle for standing with our students and supporting them in this endeavor with this tremendous gift.”

Womble Carlyle’s Raleigh office features nearly 60 attorneys in public finance, product liability, government relations, real estate development, intellectual property, business litigation, capital markets and labor and employment. Johnny M. Loper, a member of the Campbell Law Board of Visitors, serves as the managing member of the Raleigh office.

“Our firm has long known of Campbell Law’s well-deserved reputation for training excellent litigators — some of those graduates now work for us,” said Loper. “We were happy to answer Dean Leonard’ s call for funding for this great opportunity, and we wish this Campbell Law moot court team the best of luck at this competition.”
